Roberto Magnani started singing overtones first as a self-taught, then he learnt to throat sing in the various styles known as tuvan khoomei.
Following in-depth research and studies, he also began to make a tuvan traditional instrument called IGIL, even in the oldest version, with a horse skull, following the original Tuvan construction criteria: this led him in 2021 to participate and become the first Italian awarded in an international Khoomei competition organized in Tuva, with the “Nomination Best Accompaniment” “Kargyraa-2021”, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of SORUKTU KYRGYS and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Tyvan People’s Republic.
